Monica's Hand Modeling: Outtake
My friend Monica has recently started looking into the rather interesting, if oddly-named, field of parts modeling. Specifically, she was looking for some images that highlight her hands. The shoot wasn't something I'd actually done before, so the process was an interesting one. After some technical issues indoors, I decided the shoot would be better achieved indoors with natural light.
This shot is actually an outtake. While I like the composition and the exposure, it doesn't quite give a close enough look at the hand for a true portfolio shot. If anything, it's more about the bag and would look right at home on Pinterest.
I'll post a few more eventually, but they need to be edited. This one endured little more than a few level tweaks. It was shot with the 24-105 F/4L on my 7D at near the long end of the lens. It was actually getting to be later in the evening, but the tall buildings surrounding the park do a good job of diffusing light, making it flat and flattering.
It was a learning experience to be sure, but something I'm interested in doing more of.
